10 Lessons From 2+ Years Writing Online

I started writing back in 2019.

When I discovered Medium, and realised I could earn money from doing something I love, I was hooked.

Over the last 48 or so months, I’ve learnt a lot of things about writing, articles, Medium and myself.

I also love Taylor Swift, so some of her best lyrics (in my opinion) are going to help me share what I’ve learnt.

1. It’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me

You’re going to make mistakes.

When writing articles, especially when writing and publishing several articles per week, you’re going to make mistakes.

It’s inevitable.

I’ve made plenty of mistakes in the past, from using incorrect sources (resulting in misinformation) to being a little too inspired by other writer’s titles and getting called out for plagiarism (oops…).

The important thing is that you can recognise when you messed up, own up to it, apologise and move on.

2. All I do is try, try, try

The most you can do is your best.
